What is bakuchiol and how does it compare to retinol?

Bakuchiol (pronounced bah-koo-chee-ole) is an extract that comes from the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant. Babchi, or Psoralea corylifolia, is a purple-flowered herb that has a long history of traditional use in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Bakuchiol works in a manner that is similar to retinol, a vitamin A derivative that is a popular ingredient in many anti-aging skin care products, and provides many of the same benefits. Yet it’s much gentler to the skin.

How long will it take to see results?
