What blanket weight should I select?
If you are buying a single-size throw blanket, we recommend selecting a weight that is around 10% of the intended user’s body weight. If you are in-between sizes, we recommend the lower of the two weights based on past customer experiences. Our Queen or King size blanket comes only in 35lbs, and that weight was determined after extensive internal testing to ensure a comfortable, yet effective experience.
What’s the difference between the buttons/ties and the zipper version of the Gravity Blanket?
At Gravity, our goal is to ensure we’re providing the best possible product to our customers. As such, we’re in the process of transitioning all blankets from using buttons/ties to connect the weighted inner to the cooling cover to a zipper fastening system. This will provide extra security during use and an easier process for connecting/disconnecting the two components.
What's the difference between the Gravity Blanket, the Cooling Blanket, and Modernist Cotton Blanket?
Each blanket we make features two components: the outer cover and the weighted inner. The Gravity, Cooling, and Modernist Cotton Blankets all feature the same weighted inner but duvet covers of different materials. The Gravity Blanket features a microfiber, micro-fleece duvet cover, Cooling Blanket features our moisture-wicking duvet cover (similar to athletic wear), and Modernist Blanket features a 100% cotton cover. We also retail our duvet covers separately so you can swap your cover throughout the year as needed. That way during summer’s excess heat you can have a cooling blanket for the bed and swap out the removable cover for our microfiber duvet cover during winter.
How do I clean a Gravity Blanket?
The duvet cover is machine washable with similar colors, using non-chlorine bleach. Tumble dry on low and cool iron if needed. We recommend only washing the weighted insert by hand. The Gravity Blanket can also be dry cleaned.
